  Sept. 30th 2011 Price is right, people not so much. I was there for my first dentures, the DR made a mistake with the size of the tray for the lower impression. The assistant forced it in, because she only had a few seconds to place it before it became hard. I screamed, of course, and when it was removed, I could see that there was no mold material next to the area that was too wide. I asked her to show it to someone else. A few mins later, another assistant came with the right size, however this time I was treated as a "Whiner" with expressions like "That doesn't hurt" "Breathe" "Relax", even though I was breathing and relaxed. Later, the DR inserted the wax preliminary molds, and told me to bite down. That did hurt, but if I had known that the idea was to make the impression more precise, I could have dealt with it immediately. I did eventually bite into it, as he suggested and he made his measurements. He left, talking in the other direction as if I wasn't there, saying, "I don't know how you are going to wear these dentures if everything hurts you. I heard him tell an assistant to tell me to wait in the waiting room. An hour later, I went to the desk to ask if I could leave while he worked. She checked and asked me to return in 4 hours. I returned in 4 hours and sat for another hour and half. Nov. 24, 2011 Ultimately, the dentures do fit well, I went back for an adjustment after 3 days(adjustments are free for the first 60 days), and with a little practice, I am eating normally. As I said, these were my first dentures and didn't know what to expect.
